Welcome

My name is Robert Barr. I am a videographer, cameraman, and an audio technician whilst being a current Customs and Border Protection Officer for the DHS.

I have a great interest and passion for video/content creation and live productions. This interest began with watching Youtube gamers. This interest exploded with watching anime and esports events in the 2010s. After graduation I found and increased interest in shows like Pints with Aquinas that takes a more conversational approach. Having grown into adulthood, I have also found that being up to date on some news is important for being informed today.

Education

I went to college in southern Minnesota, U.S.A at Bethany Lutheran College and graduated in Fall 2019 with a BA in Media Arts with a focus on Video Production and Broadcasting.

I am credentialed as a Customs and Border Protection Officer through the Field Operations Academy through FLETC at Glynco, GA.

Work

I have interned with the public access channel for the Greater Mankato Area where I shot and edited videos that the community and local government wanted to put out. I also managed the weekly content that came in from local creators and made sure they were ready for airing.

Currently I have been working with Department of Homeland Security as a Customs and Border Protection Officer. Due to the COVID lock-downs I had not been able to find work within my degree field and chose a different route to work while trying to see if something came about.
